This weevil is from the Compsus genus! I found it on a passionflower leaf at Finca Las Piedras and was struck by how pretty its metallic blue and green markings are. There are over 83,000 weevil species described worldwide, with many more left to discover, making true weevils (Curculionidae) one of the most speciose families in the world.
