"SELECTIVE IMAGING" is the eighth piece in the art collection "e-motion" by artist alexhasg2g. I wanted to create a space where there is unavoidable destruction dominating the world, yet the camera is focused elsewhere. Selective imaging is about the nature of the human mind and how we prefer to see things that are uplifting rather than the truth of what's happening around the world. Since social media is catered to our interests as individuals, we don't always see what's happening around us. We enable media attention to diverted from crisis time and time again to reinforce what we like. That is why the pieces are so contrasting with black and white because I find the topic especially polarizing.
