This painting depicts one of Ainsley's re-occurring characters, the Bonhomme of Winnipeg. Ainsley created her first Bonhomme in 2008; a mythical character from her city of Winnipeg. He is quite elusive, therefore rarely seen.
Ainsley Sturko is an artist based in Winnipeg, Canada, best known for her character based illustrations. She holds an honours degree in Fine Arts from the University of Manitoba.
Some of Ainsley's characters have been produced into soft-vinyl figures and she and her husband run the toy company Grumble Toy.
