Not a Matter of Belief series ✨
With the news focused on the leaked Navy videos and upcoming reports on ufos, it's important to remember that this isn't about governmental protection; this is about humanity's relationship with other intelligent beings. Visitations happen in neighborhood backyards night and day.
My intention with this series is to update the aesthetic of ufos from their spooky, kitschy past and bring them into the light of current consciousness. I grew up thinking that the ufo phenomena was the stuff of science fiction. It is not. I paint to support the mission for understanding.
My work always begins with a love for the magic of creation- the blank surface about to be transformed into a living thing or another world. This act has been with mankind forever and yet never ceases to be awe-inspiring. I always want my marks to be visible, to keep this sense of wonder present. Using the medium of good old fashioned oil paint, I'm committed to narratives that explore themes of discovery, nature, energy, wildlife, mythology, paranormal, and fundamental unity.
