My series “Architectural Symmetry” has developed over the course of a year, from a sudden interest to a journey of discovery. I explore architectural photography as an art form and aim to find the relationship between experimentation and practicality with my approach. I’m drawn to buildings with interesting lines or curvature, then transition them to black and white in an attempt to underline each shadow and highlight. This project draws inspiration from both the works of M.C. Escher and Harry Callahan for their ability to approach the abnormal. As I create, through trial and error, I try to show the alternate reality that this work constructs and present the viewer with the grandeur and beauty that unknowingly surrounds them.
My name is Adam and I'm a freelance photographer based out of Columbus, Ohio. My passions are photography and film. I love to talk about projects I'm working on. And I'm a strong believer in knowing the history behind what you do. Let me know what inspires you!
