I made this piece after visiting home for the first time in a year and finding my youngest brother had gone from being 4 to being 5 and had grown and learned so much and was so different but still so himself... I had this bittersweet sadness at losing that happy 4 year old and this intense pride in all that this new 5 year old kid could do and the person he is bit by bit shaping up to be.
